Inspiring Love Stories and Valentines Cards

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and boy do I have a celebration for you. Remember last week I told you about how Bill and I met? If you didn’t read about it then, you can read about it now here https://nanahood.com/the-florida-keys. So to get the party started I thought it would be fun to ask some of NanaHood’s Facebook friends to tell their stories of how they met their husbands.

Love Stories

Judy J- He saw me through the window at Church..I was attending a shower. I was 14 and he was 16 and he told a buddy he would take me to the prom that next year. Well , 4 proms later, 41 years of marriage, 1 child and 2 fantastic granddaughters our life is wonderful!

Sarah- Met my husband (Jason) in 94 at Barren Co. High School he transfered there his Senior year I was a sophomore I fell i love when I first saw him, I used to sit with him at lunch and steal his french fries, he would call me French Fry Stealing Sophomore. Went out for about 3 months, remained friends got back together January 2000 and got married Aug. 2000.

Judy- I worked in an office in a sewing factory in 1976…I met Bill there he was the new sewing machine mechanic and I worked on payroll. He tells everyone he married me so I would make his check bigger( just joking of course). He was really shy and would sit in the lobby at lunch in a chair where he could see me and we would make eyes at each other. I thought he never would ask me out but he finally did and the rest is history. Our first date was June 19th and we got married on Oct. 1st we were meant for each other. Thank you Lord for such a sweet loyal husband!

Genise –  I met my husband at a drag race when we were teenagers. Dated for 3 years and we married 9 days after I graduated from high school. This May we will celebrate our 38th anniversary.

  1. Good luck Becky and thanks for sharing your “how we met” story! Love it and love you and yours! Blessings to you!

  2. My hubby and I were long time friends first since our girls went to school together. He was always dating other women until one day (after I tried to fix him up with a co-worker), he wanted to get together for lunch. He told me that he was going to break up with his current girl-friend. Then he said he was not going to get in line to date me, that he would pick my son and I up to go four wheeling that Sunday. We’ve been together ever since…26 yrs. He’s not at all the romantic type…but I love him for who he IS…:)JP

  3. This Nana would be SO excited to win the Hallmark “Until We Hug Again” Bear!!! My hubby (Papa) and I are extremely blessed to be living close-by to four of our AMAZING grandkids, ages 6, 8, 10 and 11 years! Alas, there are six more that live in another state, ages newborn, 2, 7, 8, 9, and 9 years, and sadly, we don’t get to see them that often. Winning this contest would enable us to send the gift to the distant grandkids…in the hopes that they will enjoy loving and hugging and hearing our “I love you soooo much!” voices…over, and over, and over again!!! Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this great contest, and may the best Nana win…who ever that may be! ?

  4. I would love to win the Hallmark bunny or bear to share with my three grandkids. We have so much fun when we get a new ‘toy’ to share! Thanks for the wonderful contest! They are so much fun!

I met Eddie at North Metcalfe at a softball game. He walked by and I asked who he was…little did I know I was asking his brother. It was August 1975, I was 14 and he was 16. April 12, 1980 we were married. We have 4 kids, 3 grandkids, dogs, cows, farms and a wonderful life together!!

  5. I’m not exactly sure who I would send it to yet but I’m thinking probably my niece or let my boys record it for nana! 🙂 thanks for the give away! 🙂

  6. Would love to win this bunny for my grandson. Since I work full-time and do not live in the same town as him, would be nice for him to have this with my voice recorded on it so he always remembers that I am thinking about him.

  7. Would love to win the “Until We Hug Again” Rabbit or Bear for my newly-wed daughter whose husband travels several times a month so she can always hear his voice even when he is not there.

  8. I met my husband on my last deployment to Iraq, we were in the same unit. However, we didn’t start dating until we got home. I was living in Utah, and he was living in Tennessee. I only got to see him when I would fly out to Tennessee to attend my National Guard drill every month. After about 7 months of me flying out to see him, and him driving to Utah to spend a week with my family during the summer, I finally moved to Tennsee. We dated for a little over a year and a half before we got married. This year will be three years.
