The timing for me to review L’Oreal Age Perfect is, dare I say it? Perfect!
Why?
Guess whose 40th Class Reunion in just a few weeks?
Yes, that skinny, sad looking person is me. I carried the weight of the world on those stooped shoulders. I thought I had worries and problems back then and I guess I did, but looking back I know now that I had a lot less to worry about than I thought I did.
Mom and Dad were paying all the bills while I ran around with my friends and went to school. I mean, what a tough life I had, right?
FAST FORWARD 40 YEARS
40 years, 5 kids and 5 grandchildren later, I have a few wrinkles. Yes, I earned them (4 of those 5 kids were boys). Just because I earned them doesn’t mean I don’t want to do whatever I can to make my skin look better. I received these L’Oreal Age Perfect samples a week or so ago and I immediately opened the package to see how complicated this new beauty regime would be. Thank goodness it wasn’t hard, in fact it was super easy! And it smells nice and light; a fresh, feminine smell.
Every morning and every night I get out these pretty gold bottles, wash my face and follow the instructions. In just a few short stays I can honestly say my skin feels softer and is hydrated better.
I don’t know if I’ll look any different by the time my reunion rolls around but I do know this, I am a whole lot happier now than I was 40 years ago and if Michael J. Fox drove up in a time machine and offered to give me a ride back to 1974, I would turn him down.
I’m staying right where I am. I love my husband of 34 years and he loves me. I have awesome friends and a great family. I have accomplished many of my writing goals and adore blogging and working in social media. My kids are grown and all of them live nearby and last but not least, I LOVE being a nana. Grandchildren are the bomb!
As far as I’m concerned, this time of my life really is the perfect age.

Thank you so much for the link up, from another nanna
Wait a minute. It’s supposed to be the cream making you look good—not YOU making the cream look good. Pretty as ever 🙂
It was my 30th school reunion this year. I gave it a HUGE miss, though did like checking out the photos shared later!
1974 – the year I was born 🙂
Congratulations on all your accomplishments! I don’t miss high school a bit – it’s hard to believe my 15th reunion is next year.
Age is just a number! Blessings to you!

I so agree. It took me a long time to get comfortable in the skin I’m in!

I am digging the aging process…and that is very nearly true. I can say that there is no age I would want to go back to. I like me now.
Love the photo – I also graduated in 1974 – seems so long ago now!! 60 is just around the corner and I’m looking forward to it!
I love your picture! You look very pretty. You remind me of orphan Annie!
Looks interesting. I need all the help I can get now that I’m in my 40s. Enjoy your reunion.
