Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin
In this household, bacon and cheese make everything better! That includes a tender pork tenderloin made in an air fryer for no-fuss cooking. If you’re craving a juicy pork meal this week, you’ll love this bacon wrapped pork tenderloin recipe stuffed with cheese and herbs.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
- 1 pork tenderloin
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 6-8 strips of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- salt and pepper to taste
Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin Preparation:
- Generously coat tenderloin in salt, pepper, and Italian 1 tablespoon of seasoning.
- Cut pork tenderloin in half, almost all the way through. Think sub sandwich bread!
- In a small bowl, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and 1/2 tablespoon of Italian seasoning.
- Spread cheese mixture onto the opened pork tenderloin. Close tenderloin when done.
- Cut pork tenderloin in half to assure it fits easily into your air fryer. Set aside.
- Lay out 3-4 strips of bacon and place one half of a tenderloin in the center.
- Wrap and tuck your bacon around the pork, helping it secure closure during cooking.
- Repeat bacon wrapping steps for second tenderloin.
- Place both bacon wrapped tenderloins in your air fryer. Cover, and set to 400 degrees for approximately 18 minutes.
- Remove carefully and check temperature for a 140-150 degree reading. I like to begin slicing my portions roughly 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through and cook another 3-5 minutes.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before removing, slicing, and serving.
Quick Tips for Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin Perfection
If you love cheese and decide to stuff it with additional mixture, try using cooking string to tie you tenderloin closed. Space your string out every couple inches to help keep the gooey cheese mixture from overflowing during cooking.
I also like to place my pork tenderloin on a piece of foil when I place it back in for a few extra minutes. By this time, the cheese is beginning to peek through, so I like to avoid a lot of clean up to my air fryer. It also catches those extra juices!
