Need a Great Thriller to Read-“Falling” by T J Newman
A Great Thriller
What makes a great thriller? Readers need to identify with the characters. There needs to be lots of action and plot twists. I also like it when I don’t know what’s going to happen next. I’ve read so many mysteries and thrillers that many times I can figure out what’s going to happen, so I love it when a book surprises me.
Falling by T J Newman meets all those requirements and more.
A few weeks ago I heard an interview on NPR with the author. The longer I listened the more intrigued I was. Newman was a flight attendant for 10 years and wrote while she was flying. I have a very dear friend who flew for 42 years and I have always loved listening to my friend’s flight stories.
I haven’t had a lot of spare time to read but this month I’m participating in the Breast Cancer Research Center’s 31 Days Challenge. For 31 days I walk a mile while raising money for research. And while I walk I listen to books on my phone. I purchased “Falling” and started listening….I didn’t want to stop! I think I could have walked 10 miles my first night!
Not Going To Spoil The Ride
Without telling you too much I will say that from the beginning of the book you need to fasten your seatbelt and don’t unbuckle until it’s over! That’s how intense this book is.
The main character is the pilot and his name is Bill, which is my husband’s name. I’ve always thought of my husband as a man of great character and so is the hero of this book!
The bad guys of the book have a believable motive and Newman has a way of tackling a tough issue through them that makes the reader want to “do something” to help them even though they chose the wrong way to respond to their problem.
I know this is vague but I seriously don’t want to spoil this for you. It’s an amazing read and a great thriller, one that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat literally until the very end.
Get your copy of Falling today and let me know what you think! I give it 5 Nana Stars and a huge thumbs up!
Happy reading friends!
