Books To Read
I haven’t been to the library in awhile and I needed some new books to read. Saturday I stopped in and loaded up. I carried my stash of books home and struggled to carry them in the back door. My son’s girl friend opened the door for me and I carried them in.
“How long will it take you to read all those?” she asked.
“About a week,” I answered.
I’ve always been a fast reader and for years I was “book starved.” Now I’m making up for lost time.
That was Saturday…today is Tuesday. So far I have finished Don’t Go by Lisa Scottoline and Suspect by Robert Crais. I highly recomend them both. I finished Don’t Go in one sitting. Suspect took a little longer because I had things to do that couldn’t wait so I had to stop and start often, but the book is excellent.
When my children were little about the only books I read were written by Dr. Seuss. Those were the years I was “book starved.” I love reading and am so glad I have a great library full of great books to read!
Leave me a comment and let me know what you are reading! Link up with me, too!
I’m a reading fool!
I’ll have to look that author up! I love to read. Thanks for commenting!
I am reading the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. I am on The Fiery Cross right now.
Whoa! That’s a nice stash of books you have there. I need to get back in the habit. I have a lot of books that I want to catch up on too. Thanks for stopping by to link up! 🙂
Thanks for visiting us at pret-a-vivre Teresa and for the book recommendation. I am re-reading the Great Gatsby right now :).
I’ve always been a fast reader who takes way too many books out of the library (and reads them all) too. I think it’s a good thing. 🙂
I love to read, but I’m in the stage of life where the only books I get to read are the Bible and books I use in homeschooling my small people. Enjoy your books!
Thanks for linking up over at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama
that’s a lot, I sure miss reading. all I get to read now is just the Bible and devotionals, i miss reading a book
I am currently reading the book Seedsavers Treasure. I won it in the Kids Book Week giveaway hop & wanted to read it before I pass it on to our grandchildren.
You sure do have some good books there!
Some of those books look really good, especially Don’t Go. I love to read as well but don’t have much time to do so in the summer. During the winter, though, I enjoy reading a lot.
I also love a good mystery or thriller, and Scottoline adn Grdner are among some of my favorites.
I actually took out a few books for me this past weekend. I already had a couple of non fiction books out, but I was wanting something to read other than the Twilight series. A couple of summers ago I was reading a bunch of different books, even doing book reviews on my other blog. Then I read Twilight, which I hadn’t even been interested in prior to that,. I have since read the series multiple times and have trouble starting other books. So I grabbed up some Christian suspense. Read one in one day. It was nice actually.
This is quite a heap of books to read. I really need to find more time to read.
I got a Kindle Fire HD for Mothers’ Day so I’m finally back to reading. (My eyes have gotten too bad to read books but anything that’s backlit is ok.) I’m wrapping up the Roam series right now.
I took 4 novels with me to the beach this week and already finished all. Wish I had grabbed more. I love to read, but family and work gets in the way, usually.
I have recently fallen in love with all books by Lesley Pearse. Historical fiction with a great strong female lead. I’ve read 6 of hers lately.
I still read kid lit. A little more advanced than Dr. Seuss, but kid lit. I’m currently working through Margaret Peterson Haddix’s Missing series. I love her!

I loooooove to read! I don’t go anywhere without a book! Right now I am reading Dug Down Deep, the Bible (I’m on a mission to read it from cover to cover) and Mocking Jay.
I have found memories of when I had time to read. :0) x x
I understand…that was me for a lot of years!
The only time I really have to read is at night, but as soon as my book is opened my eyes are closed lol.

Your lucky your library is full of great books to read. Our library never keep any good books at our library. We always order ours over the internet and have them sent to ours.
I haven’t read a book in a while, hoping for more downtime this Summer!
