How to Plan Your Very Best Day Ever

Plan Your Very Best Day Ever

A writer friend who often inspires me posed this question to his readers this morning and I’m going to pass it on to you. If you got to choose the people you spent a day with (anyone), who would you pick? Where would you spend the day? What would you eat: food and memories go together like peanut butter and jelly. How would you spend your day?

If you are going somewhere what are you packing? Cell phone? Charger Cord? Computer? Books?

The point is to get us thinking about what and who really matters. Because where we are just isn’t as important as who we are with. I could be locked in my garage with certain people and I’m convinced we would find a way to have fun.

Where the Fun Happens

Last Saturday night my daughter and I took four little girls to see Cinderella. It was a ballet held at SKYPAC in Bowling Green, Kentucky. But before the ballet we took them to dinner and they all looked so beautiful and were so well behaved.

The dancers were all talented and graceful but watching the ballet isn’t really why I went. I take them places to watch them have fun. I love helping expose them to new things and going places with them. They make everything new again.

And that’s how you plan your very best day ever. You choose the people you love and you spend time with them. It doesn’t have to be at a ballet. You just do things together.

Occasionally what we plan to be a great day may not turn out the way we had planned. Like the time my cousin took her 6th grade class to a water treatment facility not realizing that the children would be shown raw sewage. They were all grossed out but had a great time because of their attitude.

Attitude is what makes a good day-a great day.

Fill your days with faces you love. Do things outdoors together whenever possible. Laughter and sunshine are a great combination. When you add all these things on top of a great attitude then you can’t help but have the #verybestdayever
