Shrimp Bowtie in Vodka Sauce

We tend to have our favorite go-to recipes when it comes to shrimp pasta at our house. However, I’d recently been experimenting with a delicious vodka sauce and thought we should give it a taste with seafood. If the fact that there were no leftovers tells you anything, then you’ll definitely want to try this tasty shrimp bowtie in vodka sauce recipe!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Ingredients for Shrimp Bowtie in Vodka Sauce:

  • 1 box mini bowtie pasta
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 28 oz can diced Italian seasoned tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 Tbsps vodka
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable or olive oil
  • salt, pepper, parmesan cheese to taste
  • 1 lb shrimp

Preparation:

  • Cook bowtie pasta while preparing your sauce and shrimp.
  • In a large saucepan, heat oil and saute onions on low heat.
  • Add in vodka, cream, and tomatoes, and continue to stir occasionally.
  • Season the sauce to your liking, then let it simmer and thicken for 8-10 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, saute garlic and butter on medium-low.
  • Add in shrimp and cook each side until pink. Remove and add to the top of your bowtie and vodka pasta.
