Zesty Mediterranean Dip
Mediterranean Dip is Delish!
If I haven’t already mentioned it, I love anything with cheese. I mean ANYTHING! Feta is one of my favorites, so when a craving kicked in yesterday, I threw together this of flavorful Mediterranean dip for a night of relaxing binge-watching.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1/4 cup black olives
- 1/4 cup green olives
- 3 thin slices of red onion, chopped or sliced
- 1/4 cup diced cucumbers
- cilantro to garnish
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatos, sliced
- favorite crackers
Preparation:
If you have the time, marinate your tomatoes, onion, and cucumber in the oil and vinegar mixture for a few hours.
- spoon your cream cheese into a bowl or small plate, spreading evenly along the bottom
- mix together your seasonings, olives, garlic, and marinated veggies in a small bowl, then layer on top of cream cheese
- sprinkle feta over the top of your dip
- garnish with cilantro
- serve with your favorite crackers
Creative Variations of Mediterranean Dip
The great thing about this simple dip is you can toss in whichever flavors your taste buds are in the mood for. This dip is delicious with a thick layer of hummus over the cream cheese too. It’s one of those appetizers where anything goes, and it all works!
It’s such a simple dish to whip up and the color offers a beautiful presentation for any event. The various flavors are simply mouth-watering and you can always toss in additional ingredients, such as artichoke hearts or red peppers. I also love dicing up banana peppers when I want to add a bit of spice.
