Red Velvet Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? February snuck up on me without notice. It’s the month I love to bake with colors of Valentine’s, no matter how grown up my kids get. One of my favorite recipes is red velvet cookies with white and milk chocolate chips. It’s a delicious combination and so easy to make!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
- 1 box of red velvet cake mix
- 2 tbsp softened butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
- In a stand mixer, blend your cake mix, eggs, butter, and oil
- Blend until smooth
- Slowly add in your chocolate chips and mix well
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet
- Bake for 12 minutes
Red Velvet Cookie Variations
We like our cookies slightly chewy in the inside, so this recipe is perfect for us. If you prefer them more cake-like, leave out the softened butter and bump up your oil just a tad – roughly 1 tablespoon. They’ll fluff up a bit more and have more of a red velvet cake texture.
These are so easy to whip up and make a great Valentine’s Day treat!
Enjoy!
