Strawberry Pound Cake Mason Jar Dessert

If you’re in the mood for a delicious and fun to make dessert this week, you’ll want to try this Strawberry Pound Cake Mason Jar Dessert. After our Chocolate Peanut Butter Mason Jar Tower, experimenting with various flavors and toppings was just too much fun to pass up. This east-to-make treat is perfect for an afterschool snack too so grab the kids and grandkids and have them help build this yummy strawberry dessert!

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

INGREDIENTS FOR POUND CAKE:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 5 eggs

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 1 tub of cool whip
  • Mason Jars

PREPARATION:

  • Pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease your 9×5 loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, eggs, and sugar.
  • Next, add in flour, salt, and baking powder and mix well.
  • Add sour cream and continue to mix.
  • Pour pound cake batter into the loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until it begins to turn golden brown.
  • Allow pound cake to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • Slice and cut into bite-sized pieces as desired.
  • Cut strawberries into your desired size.
  • Layer your pound cake, sliced strawberries, and cool whip and enjoy!
