Chocolate Peanut Butter Mason Jar Tower
With school starting up, we decided to have a last celebratory summer weekend of sweets. Ok, so sweets don’t really need a special occasion at our house, but I did want to try something fun and special before they headed back to school! While we admittedly tried out a ton of flavors, today’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Mason Jar Tower recipe is our favorite!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ingredients for Chocolate Peanut Butter Mason Jar Tower:
- 1 Box Brownie Mix
- 1 bag Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- 1 Tub of Cool Whip
Preparation:
- Pre-heat your oven according to brownie mix and lightly grease your pan.
- Prepare brownie mix and bake. Allow to completely cool when done.
- Cut brownies into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut Reese’s into smaller pieces, if desired.
- Begin layering your chocolate peanut butter sweets in the mason jar. We started with brownie bites.
- Next, add a layer of peanut butter cups.
- Add a layer of cool whip.
- Repeat your layers!
- Top with a brownie or Reese’s cup and enjoy!
Choosing Sweets for the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mason Jar Tower
We are huge fans of Reese’s, so any chance to blend chocolate and peanut butter flavors gets our vote. While we had a few options to choose from, we settled on mini Reese’s cups and brownies. I have to say that the latest Peanut Butter Pie Oreos were a close runner up though! We also considered adding chocolate or peanut butter sundae syrup and using cheesecake rather than brownies. You’ll have to let us know if you try any of those!
Easy to Make Dessert Recipe
While you can certainly make your brownies from scratch, store bought brownies and brownie mix will still get the job done! It’s a quick little dessert that was fun and simple to make and the kids had fun helping (and sampling).
