Top 3 Roller Coasters in Disney World
Disclaimer: I was sponsored in part by Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. They invited me to Disney World and paid a portion of my expenses. All thoughts, opinions and memories are strictly my own!”
What are the top 3 rollercoasters in Disney World? Well, it depends who you ask. We were there last month and because we didn’t have any grandchildren with us, my grown children and husband rode every rollercoaster they could find.
Our twin sons and son number two, plus his girlfriend and my husband were the riders. I was the picture taker and holder of all important items they didn’t want to take on the ride. Here’s how they ranked the rollercoasters at Disney World.
We were only at Disney World for 2 days (and then we went on a 3 day cruise) considering the short amount of time we were there they did a tremendous amount of rocking and rolling! They rode 5 rollercoasters in 3 different parks in one day! I think they should get a trophy or something, don’t you?
Drumroll Please
3. Mission: Space  Epcot Park
If you want to take a spaceship to Mars, this rollercoaster is for you! This photo was snapped from my seated position across the way (conveniently located next to the food and drink cart) and if you look really close at the people in line to ride, you can see my family. They look like little Martians next to the big red ball, don’t they?
They ranked this one number three and said that it was fun but if you were claustrophobic or got motion sickness, you might want to skip this one. I do get motion sickness so I sniffed the popcorn from the food vendor and talked to a lady next to me about Disney World and #DisneySMMC (Disney Social Media Moms Celebration), which is why I was there. I know it might not sound exciting but I loved watching them ride and seeing their happy faces.
2. Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster  Disney Hollywood Studios
Pictured below is me and the husband in front of The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Aerosmith music was blasting over the load speakers, which suited me just fine because I’m a long time fan. I tried to get a photo of the huge guitar (sponsored by my friends at #Hanes) but it was so big I couldn’t get in position.
All my riders agreed that this one was “cool” because of the speed factor. The coaster accelerates from 0 to 57 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. Riders experience 4.5 G as they enter the first inversion, more than an astronaut does when they are launched into outer space.
Since my pace is slower than a turtle and the only time I would want to go that fast is if a grizzly bear was after me, I sat next to the food cart (they have them everywhere) and watched a little girl devour an ice cream cone. I really wanted one but decided I would get it all over my white shirt, so instead I watched her eat hers and tried not to drool.
And the Number 1 Roller Coaster in Disney World (according to my family)…..
Expedition Everest  Animal Kingdom
This was hands down everyone’s favorite. Son number 2 and his girlfriend loved it so much they stayed until after dark to ride it again at night. Besides the roller coaster “wow factor” of the ride, they loved the view. At the highest point it’s 200 feet tall and you get a beautiful view of the park.
My family probably couldn’t see me from this ride because I was at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Welcome, wolfing down appetizers and yakking with my blogger friends. I was so excited to finally get to eat something that I hung out next to the food table the entire time. Watching people ride roller coasters can cause you to work up an appetite!
Because I was at the Welcome Party I didn’t get a photo of this ride, but my friend Patricia did.

I do hope if you go to Disney World and you love roller coasters you will try out our Top 3. Have you ridden any of these? Which did you like best and why?
That’s the only one we didn’t get to ride! It was booked up!
I agree with them all, but also loved Tower of Terror!!! And I can’t wait to go back in October!!!!
Thanks Melissa We tried to ride it but they were booked up!
My all time favorite is Tower of Terror!! I can ride it over and over again! And since it’s a different series of drops each time, it like a different ride each time!
Admittedly, I’m a wimp, when it comes to Mission Space. The older I’ve gotten, the less my tummy can handle. 🙂
I’m a chicken when it comes to roller coasters. My boys love them though!
