The Disney Countdown Begins

The Disney Countdown Begins and I’m so excited!

We are going to Disney World in 10 days! After waiting for months….the time is almost here!

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2018 (DSMMC) is a land and sea event. We’ll have three days at Walt Disney World and then a three-day cruise on the Disney Dream. My daughter and her two children will be with me and we are going from Port Canaveral, Florida to Nassau and then on to Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise. This celebration is by invitation only and this is my third year to attend. Every year is a little better and more magical than the year before.

Last year my husband and two of our sons went with me. Part of the time I was with other bloggers learning about Disney and talking social media, and the rest of the time I was with my family enjoying the park and the cruise. Disney and the sponsors of the event also include our families in some very special dinners and activities that are so much fun.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from last year. This is my husband eating some ice cream on Disney’s private island. It was so beautiful there and I’m so glad we are going back there this year!

Last year we were on the Disney Wonder. This year we will be on the Disney Dream. I can’t wait to see how my grandchildren react. They have never been on cruise before and I just know they are going to love it. It’s all the magic of Disney World on a huge ship!

My grandchildren probably won’t get as excited over the food as I do, but my daughter will. I’m taking my pants with the expandable waist line!

And so….the Disney Countdown Begins

Three years ago my daughter and granddaughter went with me to Disney, but we didn’t go on a cruise that year. My granddaughter was three years old at the time and her little brother was only one so he stayed home. This year he gets to go (he’s three now) and my granddaughter is almost six. If you are a grandparent you will understand this….I can’t wait to watch them experience Disney World and a cruise.
