The Joy of AuntHood

Today I’m giving thanks for aunts and for the joy of being one. This post is made possible today because of an email my friend Rhonda sent me.

Thanks, Rhonda!  Your words are a wonderful reminder of the joys of being an aunt!

Rhonda writes….

I am sure that being a Nana must be a very special feeling, I have been told by some that it is better than motherhood, unfortunately I will not have the feeling of either but I can tell you about the blessings of being an aunt!

I am so fortunate to have 6 nephews and 1 neice and I love to surprise them with little gifts

A club for aunts….

I think us aunts need to start a club…..compare notes……give away our “spoiling” secrets…..share our stories like you Nana’s do!

You see…..it does not matter if they are 18 and 16 or 13 and 16 or 1, 3 and 5…….the joy of being an aunt is just almost indescribable….. You love them, spoil them, hug them, share their accomplishments, share their defeats and last but certainly not least, I pray for them all everyday.

I do not know about NanaHood but I am here to tell you AuntHood is awesome.
