What is a Blog Hop?

Blog Hop

It occurred to me that many of my NanaHood friends are not bloggers (well, most of them are not) and so I thought I should explain why once a week I have a post where I say, “This is a blog hop. Please link up and leave a comment.” Almost every week for the last several years I have posted photographs to share with NanaHood viewers and other bloggers. This is the way it works. You will notice at the end of the post something that says “Link up here” or something like that. If you click on that a page will appear that you fill in the information it asks for and the link or URL of the post you are linking. Why would I do this? Because it’s a way that I can met other bloggers and they in turn, visit NanaHood. Usually we leave comments about their posts and hope they leave comments on mine. Hopefully they will like what they see and come back again! There are bloggers that have rules for their blog hops and if they do then before you can link with them you have to follow their rules. I prefer linking up with blogs like mine that host No Rules Blog Hops. It’s easier, quicker and more fun. I always visit other blogs on their list and I enjoy meeting and following new people. Most bloggers who participate have the same goals in mind; they want more visitors, follows and comments. I look forward to participating in the weekly blog hop and have made many friends over the years this way! If you are a blogger I encourage you to participate in blog hops. It’s fun and easy. All you have to do is sign up at no cost at In Linkz and follow the instructions on how to add a Blog Hop code to your site. That’s it! Now here are my pictures for this week’s Blog Hop. I usually have a theme but today’s photos are just some random pictures that I wanted to share with you.

My grands love golf cart rides. This shot was made while riding.

Even the dog enjoys a ride. The grandson got off to inspect something he saw.

This squirrel entertained me with his antics for a long time. They sure do make a mess while they eat!

The pink wispy clouds were floating on top of the others and it was a gorgeous display of God’s handiwork.

This shot was actually made by my daughter. I just love my granddaughter’s big smile and the colors. Looks like she’s ready to dance with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in Singing in the Rain!
