Delicious Crepes Recipe
Crepes Recipe Your Family Will Love!
If you’re in the mood for a tasty breakfast that allows room for lots of creativity, crepes is my recommendation! I love how light and sweet crepes are. And the ability to be creative with toppings make them a fun and delicious breakfast option. I usually set out a handful of toppings and the kids and I mix and match whatever we’re caving.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Crepes Recipe Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cups of milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp softened butter
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender
- Continue to puree until mixture is smooth
- Heavily coat a small pan with cooking spray or butter
- Pour in a small amount of batter and swirl to the edges of the pan. Your layer should be very thin.
- Allow approximately 2 minutes to cook before flipping. You want the outer edges to be lightly crisped to a golden brown.
- Flip and cook another 1-2 minutes
- Lay on a plate, folding in thirds after it cools
Toppings:
One of our favorite toppings is a mixture of fruit and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. While you can certainly stuff your crepes with several options, including nutella, cream cheese, or extra fruit, I tend to keep mine on top.
If you haven’t been introduced to cookie butter, it is my absolute favorite. While it’s not the prettiest option, I smother my crepes with a mixture of cookie butter and nutella and a dab of whip cream, when handy. I have to warn you, it’s pretty rich, but so yummy!
We are also fans of chocolate peanut butter crepes. Sprinkle a few mini chips on top and you’ll be in heaven!
I’ve made them for birthdays, filling the inside with whip cream and adding rainbow sprinkles over the top with a bit of chocolate sauce. Honestly, it’s more of a dessert than a breakfast sometimes! But, it makes for a colorful dish the kids and grandkids will love you for!
Let us know what toppings you plan to try out with your delicious crepes recipe! I’m always up for new ideas to try.
