What I love most about Literati Kids
I visited my granddaughter and she had just made a big bowl of popcorn. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and explored the box first. She told me about every item inside and was so excited to show me the book she’d been reading. She sat in my lap and we enjoyed taking turns reading to each other and looking at the pictures and talking about them. Spending quality time with my granddaughter while reading together is what I loved most about Literati. Kids. After months of “no touching” during the pandemic it felt wonderful to have her so close and to share a good book with her. You can’t put a price tag on time spent with a grandchild.
Next time I visit we are going to talk about National Parks and do some of the fun activities inside the book. When I asked Kiki if she’d ever been to a National Park she said her parents had talked about taking her to Mammoth Cave soon.
We had a great afternoon and had so much fun reading together that Kiki’s younger brother couldn’t stand not being in on the action. I didn’t even realize he was anywhere around until I saw this picture and realized we had been photo bombed. Next time Nana will read with him, too!
