Stuffed Pasta Shell Recipe
Stuffed pasta shells make a great meal option, especially if you’re trying to satisfy different taste buds. They are so easy to throw together and your meal can be ready in under thirty minutes! This week, I made a combination of ground beef shells and cheese shells but highly recommend trying stuffed veggie shells too!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 box jumbo pasta shells
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzerella cheese
- salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Prepartation:
- Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees
- cook half a box of pasta shells, roughly 10 minutes, until soft
- cook beef over medium high heat
- in a small bowl, mix ricotta cheese with 1 cup of mozzerella and season to taste
- when shells are finished and slightly cooled, stuff with your choice of mixtures – i made some with all beef, and others with all cheese or beef and cheese blend
- coat the bottom of an oven-safe dish with spaghetti sauce and line it with your shells
- sprinkle the remaining mozerella over your shells
- bake for 5-7 minutes to allow cheeses to melt over your shells
These stuffed pasta shells are also great as an appetizer or snack. I also recommend using spicy Italian sausage in place of ground beef. The flavor is amazing and the extra spiciness is a great addition to this dish. Pop a loaf of garlic bread in the oven for a few minutes and serve with a salad for a delicious meal this weekend!
