When our children were tiny we often joked that you could give them a box and they would play with it longer than they would the toy inside the box.
GRANDdaughter Abby is six and too old to play with a box…..right?

My boys are 8 & 10 – anf still playing in boxes; the bigger the better!
haha it’s the simple things in life
Three days before Christmas, my almost 4 year old grandson and I built a helicopter out of a packing box and 4 pieces of cardboard. The propeller actually spins on the fat pencil it is stuck on! I love the recliner your granddaughter created for herself and her little dog. I think the world would be a better place if we as grandparents supplied more packing tape and cardboard boxes to let the creativity begin! We are never too old.
Nope, never too old.
Would love for you to stop by and share

that’s funny – why do we bother buying them toys? 🙂
I don’t think she knows she is too old to play with a box and have fun with it. Looks like she made herself a bed and has some company too!
Our 2 year old granddaughter couldn’t have cared less about all the expensive toys we bought her, but she loved the bubble wrap (she calls it Pop) and bubble gum and candy more than anything else. I told her parents next year I hoped to recall this fact.
