And The Winner Is…..

I have been wrong before and I will certainly be wrong again, but when I am wrong again I don’t think I will be more surprised than I was today. I was so sure I knew the gender of my next grandchild that I even downloaded a picture of a nursery in the appropriate color.

Then I got a text message from my daughter and I had to look up a nursery in the right color because I had guessed wrong!

And the winner is…..

 

I know granddaughter Abby will be thrilled because she wanted a girl cousin.

We couldn’t be happier (or more surprised!)

  2. I love my little boy, and I’m excited to welcome Li’l D’s first little boy cousin in two months . . . but I’m so glad there’s a little girl just behind that!

  3. My aunt had three boys and her first three grandchildren were girls, but I know what you mean. When I found out we were expecting twins we had two boys and one girl and I was really hoping at least one of them would be a girl, but alas they were Russell and Grant and I wouldn’t trade them for all the gold in Fort Knox! FYI, God knew what he was doing to make them boys they would have made really awkward girls with their size sixteen shoes and their height!

  4. May I be jealous?! We’re expecting a surprise addition to our family as well… but it’s another boy. Now, I’m getting accustomed to being a mom of boys – and I wouldn’t trade them for anything, but every now and then I find myself wishing for a bit of pink and frill. I may just have to wait until I’m a Nana. Sigh.

  5. I’m glad for Abby and the rest of you. She will have a ball with her new cousin. I bet Mama and Daddy are very happy.
