The Annual Pumpkin Festival
Every year our little community hosts a Pumpkin Festival. I took my children and now I’m taking my grandchildren. My oldest granddaughter who is 13 thinks she has out grown it but this year I took three of my littles. One was visiting his aunt and the youngest stayed home with her mother.
The day started with a costume contest. Two of them dressed up and one didn’t. Thank goodness their mom thought to bring clothes for them to change into or they might have melted! It was exceptionally hot for October.
Of course we had to go to slide and bouncy houses. When you are their age it’s fun to get bounced around. When you are my age, not so much.
I just love the smiles and happiness. Nothing makes a nana happier than to see her kids and grandchildren happy!
This photo was made by his mom after we got back home and he’d washed his face paint off. I know I’m prejudiced but he sure is a cutie….actually they all are!
