Are you enjoying “Less of Me” month here at Nanahood? I sure am!
I did a little research this week, and if you are wondering who you can encourage today, or how you might help someone… here are a few fun links to get your motivated and inspired:
- CheerMUp
- Random Acts of Kindness Foundation (who knew there was a FOUNDATION for acts of kindness??)
- 29 Ways to Carry Out Random Acts of Kindness Everyday
- 1,000,000 Acts of Kindness Campaign
- How about some NON-Random Acts of Kindness?
And don’t forget, you can send e-cards through our website. We have several in the “encouragement” section. Click HERE to send a card to someone.
Have a fabulous Friday!
I cheered up my son, his wife and little girl today cuz I brought them food on my way home from Trader Joes. I needed to go get stuff for us anyway. Since dau-in-law doesn’t drive and none of them are feeling the best from colds, I thought I’d do my part. When I walked in the door, Melody was happy to see me and then started to bounce up and down on the chair that she climbed onto. So she made me happy cuz she was laughing! But she wasn’t too sure about the chilly hands I placed on her warm little face!! She also was trying to help put things away as she took each piece off table and then said thank you when it was taken from her and put onto the kitchen counter top.
Needless to say, the cold has affected me today and was feeling in a fog, in more ways than one, on the way home. It was raining and slightly foggy on the way home via I-5 with the traffic. My head almost felt like it was spinning and made myself focus. I’m thankful the drive wasn’t far. I’m a bit under the weather but will be ok with some rest. That’s why there’s frozen pizza in freezer from TJs that looks good and another customer said it was really good!!
Yes, I look for ways to help people and am planning to more so this year, as funds allow. So much need and I don’t want to make it about me. I’ve devised a plan to help a co-worker out with $ inside a paper topiary for her birthday. It’s good to help Haiti but it’s also good to help the friends in need right here. :0)
