Little Spooks Making Memories of a not too Spooky Halloween

Spooky or Not Spooky, That is the question.

Over the years I’ve seen and heard every argument for and against Halloween. Truthfully, I see validity in both sides. I tend to lean toward “let them be little” and have fun dressing up in non-spooky costumes because that was the way I was brought up.

My favorite house to go to was my grandmother’s because she always gave such good treats (and hugs). When my children were young they had favorite houses, too. One lady made them fried pies and ham biscuits, they really loved visiting her. The house that they didn’t want to go to was one that gave fruit. Let’s face it, when your a kid it’s all about the candy.

Costumes

My mother always wanted me to be something scary while I prefered NOT to be scared. I liked pretty costumes. Last year one of my grandsons was the cutest little spook wearing this…..

He was so cute waddling down the sidewalk and bumping into everyone.

My granddaughters love bling. The more the better. I can see them loving this costume….

I don’t think you can much brighter than this. At least they would be easy to keep up with in the dar.

Both costumes came from Amazon.

My favorite Not So Spooky Halloween Memory

Was one year when my grandchildren were much younger and the cutest little spooks around.

However you celebrate (or don’t celebrate) Halloween I hope you get to see or talk to your grandchildren. They are our sunshine, aren’t they grandparents? Did your children or grandchildren have a favorite house to trick or treat at?
