Thinking About Halloween
Many grandparents look forward to seeing their grandchildren in their Halloween costumes. I have many wonderful memories of taking our children trick or treating when they were young, including the year my 80 year old grandmother went with us! She had never been!
Another memory from those years is the house we would go to where the lady always gave my children fruit. Yes, it was a healthy snack but the last thing they wanted was a banana! They were sweet and always thanked her but when we got back to the car they gave me their fruit.
Our favorite house to go to was an elderly lady who adored our children and made them ham and biscuits and fried pies. Now that was a real treat!
This is a blog hop! Link up and leave a comment! Do you ever sneak your favorite treat out of their bag? Come on now, be honest!
Would love to see pictures of your Halloween!
Ha ha Beth! That’s so funny. Thanks for sharing!

How fun! I love Halloween. My costume is almost finished. Since I work at an art college I have to dress up. I love kid’s costumes. Your grand kids are so cute!

I look forward to seeing what people dress up as for Halloween too! Have a fun one this year!
For my grandson’s first Halloween, I wanted to be responsible so I handed out raisin boxes. I’ll never make that mistake again. It’s candy and fun all the way now.
We love Halloween here, so much fun 🙂
You too, Steve!
Good for you Caroline!
Me too! Loved Snickers bars!
Thanks, Karren! Heading over to your blog now!

When my kids were little, i used take an item or two from their bags.
I love the day after Halloween as all the candy is 1/2 at the store.
I am set for Halloween – have a basket full of costumes (for pretend play) that we can choose from – depending on Halloween weather (it’s rained the last 2 years here)
Aww! nice post and photos 🙂
Have a spookytastic week 🙂
