I Hope You Are Seeing Red Today
Did you know that the number one killer of women is NOT cancer, it’s heart disease.
Today is National Wear Red Day, to raise awareness of heart disease among women.
Women tend to think of breast cancer as the main cause of death for women, but in reality one in four women in the US dies of heart disease while one in 30 dies of breast cancer.
Wear Red Day is a great opportunity to reach out to women and alert them to their personal risk factors for heart disease. So, if you aren’t wearing red….please go home and change!
Follow this link to take a quiz and find out if you are at risk of heart problems.

Red cars count! You are forgiven for wearing purple!
ooppss I wore purple today and didn’t know anything about it being national red day til I was listening to a Christian radio station while out doing errands. Oh well, am not always on top of things like that.
I got my red car washed this afternoon then it rained 1/2 hour later,,oh well, it needed to be washed as it’s not been through the carwash in months.
Hugs!
Thank you for your comment and for wearing red!
Good for you!
Red is such a good color, wear it even when it’s not Wear Red Day!
I’m wearing red, but truth-be-told, it’s a coincidence… but I won’t tell anyone that again – now it was a conscious decision in support of healthy hearts!
My staff and I are all wearing our red. Thanks!
Sure am wearing red today. I am one of many woman with heart disease. Thank you for posting the reminder. 🙂
