Day 23 – Feet

The women in my family once had an Ugly Feet Contest. I didn’t win but I did place in the top 3. I have huge bunions and twisted toes. My aunts say it’s genetic and came from my paternal grandmother’s family. All I know is there are a whole bunch of my kinfolk with ugly feet.

In the summer time when all my friend’s wear strappy sandals, I don’t. When I go to the beach I do my best to keep my feet covered with sand. Of my 5 children 3 of them have feet like mine. They are not happy about the ugly feet legacy, but like me….they didn’t get a choice.

So why I am giving thanks for feet today?

15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15 NIV

My feet get me where I need to go and when I share the good news that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose again to save us from our sins…then my feet are beautiful!

Thank you, Lord, for my feet and for allowing me the blessing of sharing the good news!

Baby feet

Aren’t baby feet sweet? You didn’t think I would put a picture of my feet on here did you? Not happening!

  1. What a wonderful viewpoint. Some of my loved ones deal with hammer toes so we know the feeling. That can include pain as well as not pretty. Not fun but praise God for good shoes and helpful toe foamies :). And for Gods provision in the midst of it all. Have a blessed Thanksgiving week!
