Honoring Other Mothers

mothersday
The rest of this week at NanaHood we are honoring moms. I’ve honored mine. Now it’s your turn. Send me pictures and a short message for mom. She’ll love seeing her photo on NanaHood!

A Special Mom ….

Here’s a Mother’s Day treat sent to me by a good friend from Texas. He and I graduated together in 1974….wow, that’s been awhile!

About Tim…..

Metcalfe County native Tim England is a professor of journalism and mass communication at Texas State University in San Marcos.  He decided to honor his mom, who lives near Edmonton, with a video clip using family photos and music by French actor Maurice Chevalier. Chevalier appropriately enough sings about “Louise.”  This clip is dedicated to Tim’s mom, Louise England, for Mother’s Day.

What a special Mother’s Day treat from a son to his mom! Thanks, Tim. I appreciate you sharing this with NanaHood!

Another Very Special Mom….

Did you have best friends in high school whose mom adopted you as one of her own? I did. Versie Mosier had four daughters and those girls are my BFFs and I love them dearly. Versie always made me feel at home (and so did Daddy Boyd!) and I loved being at their house. She is a very special lady and I love her dearly! Happy Mother’s Day Versie! By the way, your girls think “You Rock!”

  2. What a wonderful way to celebrate all the “Moms” we love so much. I read Brittney’s comments and she also celebrated her sisters. I have to say that I have thanked my mom more than once for one of the greatest gifts she has given us—each other. I love my sisters (and best friends- because they are) so much. Our Mom has spent her life loving us so unconditionally and taught us to do the same–I cherish my relationship with my sisters so much–thanks again mom for providing us that opportunity. You, Versie Mosier, are a wonderful Mom, Grandma and teacher to us all. I love you, Teresa, Kim and Tammy so much!! Happy Mothers Day!!!! And thanks again!!! Pam
