Chicken Parmesan

When it comes to Italian food, chicken parmesan is high on our list of favorites. The tender chicken breast and piping hot mozzarella are delicious with a side of spaghetti and garlic bread. The only thing that comes close to chicken parm from our favorite restaurant is the perfect air fryer parm from home!

Tips for Perfect Chicken

Try to select chicken breasts that a very similar in thickness and size to ensure they cook evenly. If you have smaller chicken breasts, use a mallet to evenly pound your breasts for a beautiful, full chicken breast presentation that fills the plate. Don’t make this process harder than it is either. A quick wrap in saran wrap will do nicely before using your mallet or rolling pin.

You can also adjust your seasonings depending on the flavor of breadcrumbs you prefer. We love a full Italian flavor, so I tend to use the Italian crumbs and the full amount of extra seasoning.

During the last few minutes, check the center of your chicken for doneness. There’s nothing more disappointing than biting into a dry chicken breast.

Favorite Side Dishes

I can’t eat Italian without a side of garlic bread. I load mine with butter and garlic and pop it in the oven for a few minutes towards the end of the air fryer cycle. If you have extra cheese, pile it on the bread!

We prefer a bed of spaghetti or bowtie pasta with our chicken parm, but anything works! Add on extra marinara sauce and you’re all set to serve!
