A Spoonful of Love
One Saturday morning a few weeks ago I was busy working on the computer when Abby came in my room and asked me to get her some breakfast. I stood up and started after her only to find that my right foot was asleep. I turned it backwards, something popped, and I went down.
“Nana,” Abby said, “You get back on the bed. I know just what to do.”
She disappeared into the kitchen and came back with a small sandwich size bag full of ice. She placed it on my foot and told me to keep it there. For a five year old her nursing skills are pretty good!
Tonight I have some sort of virus that’s causing me to feel achy and feverish. I shut my bedroom door to keep from exposing the rest of the family to whatever I have but a few minutes ago the door flew open and in runs my sunshine girl with a bag of ice.
“Put this on your head, Nana, and you’ll feel better,” she says.
The ice may not do much but just having Abby around is the best medicine I can think of.
So glad your girls were not hurt in the car accident! Giving thanks to God!
They are really grand! Blessings to you and Ricky (hope he is feeling better)

Abby has a nurturing spirit–probably the result of good genes and some good home training!
Thanks for the follow! Just returning the favor and stopping by!
I couldn’t agree more with what you wrote, T. Lynleigh is the best medicine for whatever is ailing us. I can’t get over how grown-up looking Abby has become. She’s a doll.
i totally agree with you…grandkids are the best medicine for a nana….and you sure have a good one! how sweet!
