4 Top Reasons Why You Should Visit Leipers Fork

Leipers Fork, Tennessee

I had never heard of Leipers Fork until a friend mentioned it as a great place for a girlfriend getaway. She was right! Here’s why!

1. The town is so quaint. I call it a town but really it’s more like a village; a small collection of shops, restaurants and art galleries. There’s no stop sign. No traffic to deal with and truthfully, you feel like you are in Mayberry. I kept waiting for Aunt Bea, Andy and Opie to walk around the corner.

2. It’s close enough to Franklin and Nashville that if you want more entertainment it’s not that far away. Everything is close enough to walk to. We parked our cars at our cottage on Friday and didn’t move them until we left on Sunday.

3. The people are so kind. We ate a huge breakfast at a local restaurant called Country Boy and our waiter must have said, “Yes, ma’am” 50 times. Then when we got ready to leave someone had paid for our meal! I can’t promise you that someone will pay for your meal, but I can promise you the food is great!

4. We stayed at the cutest cottage ever! I just have to share photos with you. To see all the cottages owned by Pot and Kettle Cottages click here. Ours was The Tin Roof Cottage and we loved it!

This is in the dining room. Isn’t it cool? I have an old car that belonged to my uncle and I came home wanting to do this!

Even though we were there for the weekend we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to, so we are going back soon. Check out this list of 10 things you should do in Leipers Fork. One of the things they suggest is eating at Country Boy and so we had breakfast they (one opted out). We were seated at the Table of Wisdom. Breakfast was delicious!

Breakfast Buddies sitting at the Table of Wisdom (they probably put us there because of our age. lol)
The Tin Roof Cottage were we stayed had the cutest appliances!
Remember the movie “The Big Chill” that’s what these appliances made me think about. Loved the scene where they are cooking in the kitchen and Heard it Through the Grapevine is playing on the stereo.
Every room was decorated so uniquely!
Isn’t this a lovely bedroom? The beds were soft and comfy.
Cute den with unusual table and eye popping curtains.

Isn’t this a cute idea for an old time bath tub?
This is the front of the tub! I love it!
The house was full of eye-catching light fixtures. Through the window you can see a sitting area in the yard around a fire pit and a hydrangea with cone shaped blooms.
Even the door knobs had personality!

Leipers Fork has some really nice shops and we had fun looking around. There were a couple of art galleries that we enjoyed, as well.

If you are looking for a quick getaway it’s not that far from Nashville and full of fun things to do!
