Disco Queens

Disco Queens is part II of my Viva Las Vegas post. If you missed it you might want to read it first so you know the background story.

One of our sponsors was Osteo Bi-Flex and they sponsored a #Madetomove disco party at #BAMC16. I was so tired by the end of the day that I wasn’t sure I had any disco left in me, but it turns out that I did and so did many of the other attendees. Once songs like, I Will Survive, Stayin’ Alive, Funky Town, Disco Inferno and YMCA started playing lots of women got their groove on!

Dina

This is Dina Eisenberg and you can read more about her here.  This woman truly “sparkled” the whole weekend. I’ve never seen so much positive energy and such a bright smile packaged in one woman! Not only did her outfit catch my attention she was a great dancer and I loved watching her have so much fun! Thanks, Dina! You rocked it!

Disco Queens having fun! Left to right: Candace Karu, Dina Eisenberg. Beth Rosen  (Who helps host the Chicagonistas Live broadcast and is a go getter-get her done type gal!) and me! Oh what a night!

Made to Move

Candace actually put herself through college as a go-go dancer. She says her mom knew about her dancing but her dad didn’t. She’s from Maine (I want to go visit her so badly) and she’s super athletic and sweeter than honey! And boy, can she cut a rug on the dance floor!

Midlife a go go

This beautiful lady is Valerie Albarda of Midlife-A-Go-Go. And yes, she was #madetomove!  Not only were her red platform boots eye catching, she danced in them like a pro. I would have broken my neck, but she was grace in motion!

elaine ambrose

This is me with my friend and future speaking partner at #TypeAParent Conference, Elaine Ambrose. If you haven’t read any of Elaine’s books you really should. She’s extremely funny and known all over the world as the lady who passed gas so explosively during an MRI that she scared the medical staff so badly they thought they had been shot at!

I haven’t had so much fun in a long time! Thanks to Osteo Bi-Flex for sponsoring such a great party and thanks to my fellow Disco Queens for helping remind me that being older doesn’t mean we can’t have a blast because we are #madetomove!

Have you ever been to a disco party? Tell me about it! This is a blog hop and I’d love for you to link up!
