What Does A Five Year Old Little Girl Want for Christmas?
My granddaughter went to see Santa last week and refused to tell him what she wanted.
“Why won’t you tell me?” he asked.
“Because if I tell you then I won’t get what I want,” she said.
No amount of reasoning can change Abby’s mind when it’s made up. Evidently someone at school had told her not to tell or Christmas morning the tree would have no gifts beneath it and she believed them.
Last night Abby was here and I had saved her some ornaments to put on our tree.
After supper (the usual mac and cheese, corn and chicken dipped in Ranch…her favorite) I received a picture message on my cell phone from my daughter. She’s going to a Christmas party and had been looking for new shoes to wear with her dress. I showed the picture to Abby and she immediately insisted on calling her aunt.
“Aunt Ray Ray will you buy me shoes just like those for Christmas?”
Rachel tried explaining that it might be hard for her to walk in them.
“No, it won’t,” she insisted. “That’s what I want you to get me for Christmas. Then we can dance together to that song about high heels.” (Red High Heels by Kellie Pickler. You can watch it here…

But if she changes her mind and tells Santa, well you never know what might happen!
the little girl’s dream,so lasting and preciousness, hope the Santa give all littles all they want
How precious! The dreams of little girls!!!
You might get the secret out with her still thinking she’s holding on by telling her to write it down on a note to Santa and ‘leave it under the pillow’ or something like that.
