Unique Easter Baskets Kids Will Love
This Easter my grandkids are getting some unique Easter baskets that I hope they are going to love! They were made by a friend of a friend and she is an unbelievable seamstress.
Before I show you the baskets I want to show you Dawn’s shop and how talented she is.
Just looking at this machine took me back to my Home Economics class and reminded me of how much I hated sewing. I finally got an apron made but it wasn’t much to look at and I couldn’t wait to get out of that class. They should have put me in the boys shop class. I would have been much happier.
Not only does Dawn make Easter baskets, she makes bears too. She made one for my friend Peggy out of an old shirt her mother had made for her husband.
This particular bear was for an infant that had passed away. I don’t know if the family was going to put it in the casket with her or not, but it made my heart ache to even think about it.
I would call this a Bereavement Bear and I hope I never, ever have to purchase one for someone but if you do know someone who has lost a child, giving them one of these would be a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
Unique Easter Baskets
The 5 littles get baskets and the 11 year old gets a bigger bag but they all have their names monogramed on them.
I’ve already gone to the store and gotten lots of things to fill them with. This morning I went ahead and stuffed them so you could see how cute they look.
I really didn’t spend much on these and they look great. The stuff inside the bags came from the local Dollar Store.
Abby’s bag will be filled with gifts for an older child but I think she’ll love it. Don’t you?
These little cups cost one dollar and keep the littles from spilling things. Well worth it and a good stuffer gift for their bags.
If you are interested in ordering a Unique Easter Basket from Dawn, or a Bereavement Bear, or you have a project you’d like to talk to her about. Message her on Facebook here or visit her Etsy shop,  And tell her NanaHood sent you!
