Relaxation Station… (or game #2)
Did you know that today is NOT just NanaHood.com’s 2nd birthday… but it’s also “National Relaxation Day“? (Because every day must be a national “something” day).
I read somewhere that there is a push to make “Relaxation Day” an OFFICIAL holiday. I’m not sure who thinks up such things, but I’m glad to celebrate this very special “national” holiday, how about you?
In honor of NRD and NanaHood.com’s 2nd birthday, let’s talk about Relaxation! What is YOUR favorite way to relax? A mani-pedi with your best girl friend? A massage? A comfy blanket, a book, and some tea (hot or iced??) Sleeping an extra hour (or four)?
Share with us in the comments what YOU would do on your own Relaxation Day, and you’ll be automatically entered to win.
Win what, you say?
Well… we’re giving away another $25 Amazon.com gift card to one lucky winner!
The winner could get a couple of books… some chocolate… an eye mask for napping!
We’ll choose a random winner later on today… so… start sharing…. and then, if you have time, make sure to “celebrate” Relaxation Day!
(And don’t forget to enter “game #1” HERE – you can enter it over and over again today, for more chances to win!)
My favorite place to relax is on the lake … once everyone if fed and happy! I also have to admit, my anxiety levels drop whenever I hope my grandchildren. Ahh, the greatest feeling in the world.
A good book while relaxing in a chair on the beach……or in my pool!!!!!! And a mani and pedi isn’t a bad way either!
My favorite thing to do on a “Relaxation Day” would be to curl up with a good book and a diet Dr. Pepper…and preferably have the house to myself!
My ultimate way to relax is to go to the beach and just walk for a bit then find a log to sit on and listen to the white noise of the ocean. It is truly a wonderful place to be. I know it’s a drive to get there, 1.5 hours away but it’s fun for me! Then I go find something yummy seafood wise to eat! It’s my favorite place in the world to be, besides my own bed!
I love to sit in the yard around the firepit late at night, make smores, count stars, and listen to the kids laugh and talk.
Happy Birthday NanaHood! Well, I will start out by saying I would love to relax right now but I have a Daycare full of children so I will do it tonight. I would love to get in a nice relaxing bath, then read a good book and talk to my children on the phone before I go to bed. There’s something relaxing knowing that your grown children and grandkids are doing okay. Then last, but not least, kiss my husband, pray and sleep. Awwww! Precious sleep! I’m all for a National Relaxation Day every year. Maybe my parents would take off work and then I would be off. We can only hope!
My way of relaxing is sitting in a recliner on the screened-in porch in early evening hours, listening to the waterfall in the pool in the back yard. If the moon comes up while I’m there, so much the better!!
