Keeping Christ in Christmas

Lord. help me to remember  to stop and listen to the stillness of a cold, clear, starry night. To think back to a time when there was no room in the inn and a baby was born in a stable. There were no flashing lights on a tree, no tinsel, no decorations. Just animals, a woman, a man and a newborn baby, but that baby changed the world and He is still changing me.

Thank you Lord, for being willing to come to this sinful earth to save my soul. We celebrate your birth, your life, your death and most of all, your resurrection.  You are the reason for the season…the only reason. Amen
