Friday at NanaHood
Doing a little housekeeping today on the site and had a few things I wanted to tell you about. So forgive the randomnes of this post!
1. theNanaBlogs
It occurred to me that some of you who are regular visitors here may be new enough NanaHood friends that you don’t know about The Nana Blogs. A few years ago we (Char and I) created the site so that any nana who wanted to start her own blog could do so easily. We even offered free help (if you email us questions). Some of you have set up your own blogs and we’d love for you to share your story with other readers. Just let me know and we will be in touch. You can visit Nana Blogs by clicking here.
2.Twitter
I may not have told you is that you can also follow us on twitter @thenanahood. It’s fun, fast and very, very brief, not time consuming at all.
3.Comments
I wanted to mention is we love getting comments at NanaHood. Yesterday Jennifer (thank you, Jennifer!) made the following comment and I wanted to make sure you saw it because some of you wrote and asked about the Valentines in yesterday’s post. Jennifer says, “www.Familyfun.com is a great site for homemade Valentine ideas. We find our ideas there every year. The photo pop Valentines were featured in Family Fun magazine this year – instructions to make them are also on the website. I loved them, but we too stay away from any Valentines with candy as we try to stay away from the artificial colors and flavors which tend to make my active boys even more active, so we picked another idea to use this year!”
4. My ongoing battle with Norton’s Security
About a year or so ago this blog got a virus and as a result we were put on a Norton’s Naughty List. I understand WHY Nortons warns people about potential dangers, I just don’t understand why they REFUSE to take NanaHood off their list. Some of you have written and told me that we are on Norton’s “Proceed with caution” list. Thank you. It means a lot that you would take the time to write and let me know. I assure you that Char and I fixed this problem long ago, got a clean bill of health, and contacted Norton’s (repeatedly) to tell them. If you know what else we can do let us know, because we don’t!
5. My book is now an e-book!
A few weeks ago I told you I was a contributor to a new book that’s out called, “Lost Lessons from Life on the Farm.” Now it’s an e-book too! You can buy it on Amazon.com or at Barnes and Nobles.
6. NEED YOUR HELP!
Have a great weekend and take care of those GRANDchildren!
Sorry to hear that you are on a naughty list but I’ve not had any trouble with you blog. So you are Good! :0) Interesting book! Will have to check it out. I grew up on a farm and there are some life lessons from growing up there. I liked it for the most part.
