First Day of School

Char and I have a special friendship. We have known each other for years and have discovered that we like many of the same things. One of the things we have in common is a passion for children.

Char is the “tech” person for NanaHood and over the years I have pestered/bothered her many, many times about computer problems. No problem is too big or too small for her to tackle, but her children come first and I admire her for that. That’s exactly the way I tried to raise mine. No matter what I was doing or needed to do, my children came first. In fact, they still do and they are grown!

When you have a special friendship you care about the things your friend cares about. Even though Char and I are cyber friends and we have never met I feel like I am watching her children grow up.

Yesterday when I saw the picture of her three children on the first day of school it brought back so many memories.

When I look at these three little darlings I see beautiful children but I also see something else that the camera isn’t able to show you; all the energy and effort that Char and her husband are putting into these little people to help them grow into Christian adults who serve the community where they live but more importantly, serve God.

Love you, Char and love your kids! Hope they have a great school year!

  2. Had to share this… I know it’s a little early for thinking toys, but…

I heard about this bear that is a doll with plenty of changes of clothes and outfits.

So, We recently gave Zylie to our youngest granddaughter (just turned 2) and she loved her and my older granddaughter was going to get Shen for her birthday in September BUT she was so distraught that her little sister got such a cool present that I told my daughter in law it was okay to give her an early birthday gift from us so the girls could play with their bears together.

They were a huge hit and the girls are enjoying their new friends very much!!
