Easy and Quick Casserole
It’s been awhile since I posted a recipe so I thought I would share a new casserole recipe. I like things that are easy to cook and healthy. My boys are hard to please and when I find something they like that is easy to cook and healthy and the boys like it….well that’s what I call a home run!
The other day I was looking at recipes and found one that sounded so easy I thought that there was no way it could be good. Imagine my surprise when I made it and the boys loved it!
It’s so quick and easy that I made it again today after church. I browned the ground chuck and drained it before church to save time because a mom can only stand so many, “I’m starving. How much longer?”
The second time I made it I added cheese on top. It was gobbled up in minutes. If I can do it, you can do it!
Quick and Easy Casserole
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown a pound of lean ground beef or chuck. Drain.
At the same time steam some broccoli florets and cauliflower until they are soft enough to run a fork through them. Drain.
Heat one jar of mariana sauce until it bubbles. I used Newman’s Own.
Mix everything together and pour into 13 by 9 casserole dish.Top and sprinkle with cheese (or not). We are cheese lovers and I used Colby and Monterey Jack.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
We had corn, rice and garlic bread with it.
Enjoy!
