Dr. Margaret Rutherford’s Book: Marriage Is Not For Chickens
Dr. Margaret Rutherford’s book, Marriage Is Not For Chickens is a short, easy read with lovely photographs. When I say short, I mean really short, it can easily be read in 5 minutes and would make a great wedding or anniversary gift. I reviewed it because the author is a friend of mine and I new it would be a great book. I wasn’t disappointed.
My husband and I have been married for 37 years and I found myself nodding in agreement with every page turned. Every bit of wisdom in this book rings true for those that have been married a short time, or decades.
There are lots of things that marriage is not, but the ones the author chose are excellent points.
Here’s another one I really liked because your partner is NOT a repair shop! There are some things you need girlfriends for and everyone should have hobbies to keep them busy!
There are lots of things that marriage is…..
And I agree with these as well! You need a sense of humor to keep a marriage running smooth.
The author is Dr. Margaret Rutherford who is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years in private practice. Besides writing, she is also a podcaster and her work has been featured on Psychology Today, Readers Digest, Prevention, Huffington post, and The Mighty. You can find her at her website: DrMargaretRutherford.com She’s a kind and gentle soul and you will love her book.
The photographers for the book were Deborah Strauss and Christine Mathias.
