Planning a Summer Trip to the Beach with Kids
Planning a Summer Trip to the Beach with Kids
We love to travel and it’s even more fun when we can take all or some of our grandchildren. One of our favorite places to go is to the beach. They like it so much that they ask me every week or so if we are going back soon!
I can’t say I blame them. There’s nothing that relaxes me more than sitting on the beach, watching my grandchildren play and have fun and listening to the ocean.
If the grandchildren can’t decide what to do first, my friends at Alamo have come up with a handy and cute Vacation Activity Sheet: Beach Day Fortuneteller. All you have to do is print it out and let them color it and start playing!
My grands love all the activities on this sheet so I don’t think I will have any trouble getting them to play this game.
As you can see in this picture she has her little bucket and she’s ready to go to work on her sandcastle.
I’ve seen some pretty elaborate sandcastles at the beach. They have moats and a fortress around them. Our sandcastles are usually big on imagination and not so elaborate but they have so much fun.
Last year we went to a beach in Florida and Alamo has great deals for families. Before you go, be sure and check out their deals!
If you don’t know which beach you want to go to, here are 6 of the Best Beaches Near Orlando. We have been to Cocoa Beach several times and it’s one of our favorites.
And if you have a long drive ahead of you (it’s ten hours from where we live to the nearest beach) Alamo Rent A Car ’s Scenic Route has some ideas about how to pass the time with a great post called Five Fun Family Travel Games to play in the car.
After you get to the beach and do all the activities on Alamo’s activity sheet then it’s time to cool off with some ice cream! I hope you have a great beach day and that you will remember Alamo when making your travel plans!
