Cleo the Calf
Cleo the Calf
I took 3 of the grandchildren to an all day event at a friend’s house. She and her husband hosted a wagon ride, game day, cook out, swim party for the children at our church. The event was such a success my granddaughter asked if we could go back the next day. I explained to her that while kids can go all day and night and be ready to go again the next day, adults require a little time off occasionally. She’s only 5 so she didn’t understand, but that’s okay. I didn’t either until I got older.
One of the children’s favorite things was visiting with Cleo the calf. I’m not sure how much Cleo (short for Cleopatra) enjoyed it but the kids loved her.
The wagon ride took them to the creek where they waded to the entrance of a cave. My grandson wanted to go in and explore but we vetoed that. It was about to pour rain so we didn’t tarry long but they enjoyed getting their feet wet and peering into the cave.
One of my granddaughters took a bowl because she wanted to catch a fish to put in it but all she came back with was a worm.
The youngest day camper was this little girl and she wore her shades most of the day. She looked so cute in them.
What have you been up to this week so far? Please link up and comment. I want to hear from you!
Yes they are! I so agree!
I love my grands….I’m no different than any other nana but I do appreciate your compliment. You made my day!
Thanks Christina! So glad you stopped by.
You too Patrick!
Thank you Sue and yes I adore them! Thanks for coming by and commenting. I love your blog, FYI!
Your grandchildren are so adorable and aren’t they the best fun? I love spending time with my grandson who is 4 and now his little brother 12 weeks old. They bring me such joy and help me to appreciate the simple things in life. Thanks for the opportunity to link up and have a beautiful week.
