Chopped
Have you ever seen the show Chopped? It’s on the Food Network and my 9 year old granddaughter loves it. My son and his girlfriend decided to surprise Abby with our own version of Chopped. Abby couldn’t have been more surprised and she absolutely loved it. This first picture is her checking out some of the ingredients they will have to use in their creation.
This next photo gives you an idea of how much fun she was having.
This one gives you an idea of what my kitchen looked like when they finished. Who cleans the kitchen after the real Chopped? I bet it isn’t Nana!
And this one was the winner. I would gladly share the recipe with you but since they made it up as they went along, that’s impossible. I can tell you it had strawberries, pistachios and grated orange in it. Both desserts were good but the one we chose was not the dessert my granddaughter helped make. It was made by her uncle. Abby was disappointed and cried until I convinced to her try a bite of both desserts. Then she smiled and said, “You are right. Theirs really is better. Can I have a piece?”
If you haven’t watched Chopped, watch it. And if you aren’t afraid of a little (BIG) mess, have your own version at home!
This is a blog hop! Please link up and leave a comment!

That is so awesome! My kids got inspired one day, too, and had a mini Master Chef competition. They were so serious about it, it was so cute!

That does look delicious! I love Chopped too! What a great idea to create it at home for her, that is way cool!
Those looks yummy! #ww
Not familiar with Chopped but I’m guessing it is something my three teen daughters would love. They love to make a mess in the kitchen at the best of times. I might need to give them a lesson on cleaning up (to my standard) soon.
Thanks for visiting me!
Yes, you may. Come over and I’ll fix you some!
Can I have some please heheh! fun photos
