A Christmas Craft
A Christmas Craft
Every Christmas when we hang the ornaments on the tree it’s like walking down memory lane. When you have been married 36 years you’ve collected a lot or ornaments and each one of them has a story.
This Thanksgiving I took my cousins to a fabric store on Black Friday and we picked up some inexpensive items to make ornaments. Most of their children and my grandchildren are pretty young and had to have some help but the finished product was worth it.
There was lots of felt, a glue gun, and some very cheap scented pine cones. It kept the kids (and their moms) very busy while I cooked in the kitchen.
I loved watching them make memories and the moms were so patient with the little ones.
Don’t they look like they are having a blast? They were so cute.
This is one of our finished ornaments.
And here it is on a tree! Each child got an ornament to take home with them and hopefully it will bring them memories of the Thanksgiving they spent in Kentucky.
This is a blog hop! Link up and leave a comment. Do you make ornaments with your grandchildren or children? Tell us about them!
Me too! Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you so much!
Aww these are lovely. So special too 🙂 I know what you mean about collecting things and they have a special story. I put my Santa lights on my tree even though they no longer work as I brought them when my 22 year old was born 🙂
They look really into it! How fun. I love art and crafts!

What a lovely way to spend the day with friends or family! Looks cozy too because I see someone in a halter top! It’s very chilly where I am! Cheers from kidcandoodle 🙂
Your house looks like the busiest place on the block. Everyone was really into it and having so much fun. Isn’t it amazing how much talent they have. You are a fun Nana.

They’re so great!! Our decorations are a lot of one made by kindy and preschool so have the kids drawings or photos on them, and like you, it’s memory lane….
