God’s Garden
I like to take my dog Murphy for walks in the late afternoon. We walk down our driveway and while Murphy is sniffing out rabbits and chasing grass hoppers, I’m looking at the fall flowers. Not my flowers…God’s flowers. I had nothing to do with them. I didn’t plant them. Didn’t water them. All I do is admire them.
God has a way of slipping gifts in unexpected places. Several times a day I speed up and down my drive way and drive right past the beauty of nature without noticing. But when I’m strolling along in the evening I notice and I am amazed at a God who can sprinkle the colors of the rainbow across the fields.
Small pleasures in small things. Simplicity. God’s gifts surround us if only we will take the time to look, listen and enjoy!
God is a much better artist than man could ever be! Thanks for the comment!
Beautiful indeed. God chose a different color scape in the deserts. Every evening he paints the sky for us though in bright hues of orange, pink, red, and purple as the sun sets for the day!
