Children With Cancer
Nanahood has been in existence just over a year and I have never done two Gratituesday posts in the same day…until now.
I heard about Megan McNeil and her song, The Will to Survive, on the radio. I listened to it and it made such an impression on me that I wanted to share it with you.
Megan, wherever you are today, please know that I’m praying for you (and other children with cancer) and for the doctors and nurses who are helping you. May the good Lord comfort you and keep you in His care!
Giving thanks today for those who help these children fight cancer!
I’m grateful for the expertise and skills of doctors too. My little grand nephew had been a very unhappy baby since birth. At four months he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Brain surgery to remove the tumor and the pain from the pressure changed the little guy into the happy and giggly little guy he should have been.
The parents had a full month with their happy little baby until an infection took his life. Our family considers it a miracle that he survived the brain surgery at four months and at just 12 pounds. The young parents were so grateful for the happy and content month (although it was spent within the walls of a children’s hospital.) they were blessed to have with their precious baby boy.
