Our Son’s Wedding and His Beautiful Bride

Our Son’s wedding was Saturday. He married his high school sweetheart…actually they met in 6th grade. They have loved each other since then.

Hurricane Harvey remnants were in Kentucky and we had several inches of rain on Friday (nothing like what they did in Texas) but enough to make the ground very soggy. It was supposed to be an outdoor wedding but I had my doubts.

On the day of the wedding the rain slowed, then stopped but the sky was still gray. Just as the bride stepped outside to go join her groom the sun broke through the clouds and she was illuminated in light. It was magical.

These pictures were taken by Morgan Bell Worley and you can see more of her work here.

These are random shots I took during the wedding.

Another thing about the wedding that is amazing is that the wedding was put together in 3 weeks. I didn’t think it could be done, but it was and it was beautiful. Now the bride’s mom needs a weeks vacation to recover!

The bride’s mom, aunts, sisters, grandmothers and friends did all the flowers.

I snapped this to show off the back of her beautiful dress.

Our oldest son is on the left, Nick. Then our 2nd son Justin. Grant in the middle. His twin brother Russell at his side. Jesse Jones on the right, who is like a son to me and a brother to our boys.

Wasn’t it beautiful? What’s a special wedding memory that stands out in your mind?
