5 Things I Love About the Country

There is a lot to love about living in the country. Here are some of my favorites. 5. The sweet smell of honeysuckle. honeysuckle 4, Growing things. I’m not the gardener my mother was, but I love watching things grow.

garden 3,  Fireflies. I love watching them twinkle across the yard and fields at night.

species-specific-communication-of-fireflies-jpg 2. Critters. Whether it’s our ducks (Larry, Curly and Moe) or our dogs, or the bunnies that play at the edge of the woods at the end of our driveway, being close to animals and nature is constant reminder of the wonderful world God created.

  1. I miss fireflies! I lived for 5 years in North Carolina as a child, and I have such fond memories of chasing them around. No fireflies in Washington!
