  2. My four year old grandson did the same thing last week. He went and threw his head on the couch while still standing in protest of not getting my full attention while helping his big brother do his homework. Within the first minute of his protest he fell sound asleep.

  3. Oh my gosh this brought back sooo many good memories… my sister went as pippi long stocking one year!! It’s nice to see such a unique costume!! And really What a cutie!!

  4. Enjoyed your lovely thoughts on your dear cousin Martha. I linked here from her Caring Bridge site and am thankful to have found your blog (thought I’m not a Nana YET … looking forward to that day)!

We met Martha, Glenn, and her family at church when my husband was going through Navy helicopter training back in the early 80’s. Mandy was just a baby. Martha was a wonderful friend to me though we only were there for 5 months. After our stint in the Navy we ended up living only 2 hours from them so we have been blessed to stay in touch though not as often as I would have liked.

I know your heart goes with them to Texas along with all of her tremendous support base. I loved your “cousin” stories … what a blessing! Praying you will make many more memories together!

  5. My 4 year old loves the first picture! We have been reading “The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking” here and she just squealed when she saw this. And wowza- that is one tired little girl!
