The Good Shepherd

Today is Tuesday and every Tuesday I participate in something called Gratituesday (where we talk about something we are thankful for). It’s hosted by my friend Laura at Heavenly Homemakers. Stop by her site and tell her NanaHood sent you!

If you are a regular at NanaHood you know that we have a visitor at our home whose name is Blueberry.

It occurred to me that Blueberry is a good reminder that sheep need shepherds. They are so defenseless and gentle. We watch Blueberry closely because our dogs have not figured out this “new” dog that’s been visiting lately.

Today I’m giving thanks for my shepherd. If you don’t know him, His name is Jesus. He loved me so much that he died on the cross for my sins. He is the reason I have hope and he is the best shepherd I know. If I follow him he promises to walk beside me all the way. He is my shepherd, my friend, my deliverer. Sweet Jesus.

I have a heart of gratitude for my shepherd!
