New Year-New Projects
(This column was written by Tiffany Secula and was supposed to be on last Friday. It wasn’t-see Friday’s post. Over the weekend my daughter gave me Mac lessons. So here is Tiffany’s post! And thank you Rachel for trying to teach an old dog a new trick!)
I can’t believe it is almost 2013. It seems every year the days go by faster and faster. I am looking forward to this new year however, because it means more time to accomplish more things! Of course I love Pinterest and it has be wonderful to storing all those projects I hope to get around to sooner or later and the links that I hope will help me accomplish them!
Here is some of what I want to attempt in the upcoming year!
1) Barbie clothes! Have you seen the price on these things lately? WOW! And as you can see, someone around here is starting to have a fondness for those little dolls. So one project I want to figure out soon is how to make Barbie clothes! Surely with all the fabric I have stashed away I can come up with a few fun, matching outfits!
Room Makeovers! Last year it seems the only room I had time to tackle was my children’s bathroom. They still love the little monkeys painted on their walls! This year I hope to tackle a few more rooms, our bathroom in particular! There is a big wall over our tub that I am wanting to paint a tree over! A tree? In the bathroom? I know, it sounds odd but I have a thing for trees. I also hope to spruce up each of my kids rooms with something more personal to them, but I have to think on that one a little more!

Games With The Kids! I have pinned and pinned so many fun things to do with my kids. I think it is about time I get off the computer, quit pinning and start playing! I have found one in particular I think will be easy and fun, and a good use of all those lonely gloves that have found their way to the bottom of the laundry basket and never come back out again! Velcro Catch! I think I have all we need to do this one very soon!
Art Projects! There are several art projects I am wanting to make for the house: bible verses I want to frame, a chalkboard verse of the day frame I want for the kitchen, and this…. “what a difference a day makes” print! I am so doing this very soon! All our birthdays and our anniversary, all the big days in our lives. Those dates may not mean a lot to other people, but to us those are some pretty special days to always remember!

Date Night! Lastly I have decided that once a year to go Christmas shopping for our kids is not often enough for a date with my husband! I have decided this year we are going to put more effort into finding time to spend with each other. This site has some fun, cute ideas for date nights, and I hope we get to use a few of them! “http://ellesees.blogspot.com/2010/09/date-nightoncheap.html”http://ellesees.blogspot.com/2010/09/date-night-on-cheap.html
So there you have it! Some of the things I want to accomplish in 2013! Do you have any plans for things you want to do? Any goals you have set for the new year? Comment below and let us know what the new year is going to bring for you!
Have a great week!
